New Jersey Devils play in the Eastern Metropolitan.

New Jersey Devils overview

The New Jersey Devils play in the Metropolitan Division at Prudential Center in downtown Newark. The franchise moved to New Jersey from Colorado in 1982 and won the Stanley Cup in 1995, 2000, and 2003, building a reputation for defensive structure and Hall of Fame goaltending. Their location in the New York metro area means the Devils share a crowded market with the Rangers and Islanders. For bettors, Devils games against those rivals tend to be intense, low-margin affairs, and public money often favors the Rangers in that matchup.

Betting insights

New Jersey games against the Rangers and Islanders bring strong local interest, and the Rangers' public appeal can create value on the Devils' side in that rivalry. The Devils' short Metropolitan Division trips help limit travel fatigue, though long trips to the West and Western Canada can be draining. For totals, confirmed goalies and power play efficiency matter most. As an underdog, New Jersey's moneyline is often the cleanest bet; as a favorite, laying -1.5 on the puck line requires a two-goal margin.
