Frequently asked questions

When are NHL picks posted?

A pick goes up as soon as the sportsbooks we compare post a moneyline for the game, always before it starts, and it is never changed afterward. The first pick this week went up on Monday, October 26.

How is each NHL pick chosen?

Each pick is the market favorite: the team the prices at MyBookie, Bovada, BetOnline and BetUS rate most likely to win, averaged across the books with their margin removed. It is posted at the best price available at that moment.

How are NHL picks graded?

Picks are on the moneyline, overtime included, and graded on the final score: won or lost. Losing picks stay on the page and in the record. Since October 8, 2026, our NHL picks are 102-65 (won-lost).

Where do the NHL odds come from?

From MyBookie, Bovada, BetOnline and BetUS. We check their prices through the day and show each book's moneyline, spread and total side by side. The best price on each bet is marked when at least two books post it.
