Buffalo Bills play in the AFC East.

Buffalo Bills overview

The Buffalo Bills were a charter member of the American Football League in 1960 and joined the NFL in the 1970 merger. They are the only NFL team that plays its home games in New York State, a point of pride for a fan base known for tailgating and loyalty through long droughts. Buffalo competes in the AFC East with the Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots and New York Jets. For more than five decades the Bills played in Orchard Park at the stadium now known as Highmark Stadium, and a new open-air Highmark Stadium was built across the street to serve as the team's home beginning in 2026.

Betting insights

Buffalo is one of the clearest weather markets in football. Wind off Lake Erie and lake-effect snow can arrive suddenly in November and December, and wind speed matters more than temperature when evaluating totals and passing props. Snow games tend to grab headlines, but sustained gusts are what actually reduce kicking range and deep passing. Warm-weather visitors in December face a stark change in conditions. The Bills' recent success has made them a popular side with the betting public, so spreads in primetime or playoff games may carry a small premium. AFC East games against New England and Miami often hinge on key numbers, and road trips to Miami in September can bring the reverse problem: heat and humidity.
