Baltimore Ravens play in the AFC North.

Baltimore Ravens overview

The Baltimore Ravens began play in 1996 after Art Modell moved his Cleveland franchise to Maryland, with an agreement that left the Browns' name, colors and records in Cleveland. Named for the Edgar Allan Poe poem, the Ravens quickly built an identity around physical defense and a strong running game. They compete in the AFC North with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals and play at M&T Bank Stadium in downtown Baltimore. With two Super Bowl titles and consistent contention, Baltimore is one of the most successful franchises to emerge since the 1990s.

Betting insights

Baltimore's offense has long leaned on rushing volume, which shortens games and can work in favor of unders when paired with a strong defense, though modern Ravens offenses have also produced high-scoring outputs. Treat totals case by case rather than assuming a style. AFC North games carry a reputation for physicality and low margins, and Ravens-Steelers games in particular are frequently decided by a field goal, making 3 a critical number. Baltimore's kicking game has historically been a strength, which matters when spreads sit near a field goal. As a winning, nationally televised team, the Ravens can attract public money in primetime, so watch for lines that move without injury news.
